A seminar on Skill Education with a focus on Kaushal Bodh was organised at DAV Gian Prakash Chopra Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad on January 12, 2026. The session was conducted in alignment with NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023, highlighting CBSE’s initiative to strengthen vocational education from Classes VI to VIII.
The Resource Persons, Ms. Sandeepa Rai, Principal, Rotary Public School and Ms. Ritu Bedi, Principal, Red Roses Public School, elaborated on the objectives, curriculum framework, classroom implementation and assessment strategies of Kaushal Bodh. The emphasis was laid on learning by doing, dignity of labour, life skills, workplace awareness and project-based learning. Teachers were guided on interdisciplinary involvement, role of skill coordinators and engagement of local experts.Addressing the gathering, the Principal, Shri Rajan Gautam, stressed the importance of skill education in preparing students for real-life challenges and encouraged teachers to effectively integrate Kaushal Bodh into the school timetable.
The seminar concluded with reflection and feedback, leaving teachers better equipped to implement skill education meaningfully.
